Well, it doesn’t matter whether Ben Roethlisberger is without one of his two top receivers; he is going to win anyway. But on Sunday he might have a little stiffer challenge that he might have originally imagined, as his Pittsburgh Steelers cross the Keystone State to visit Philadelphia Eagles in a game that begins at 4:25 PM ET at Lincoln Financial Field in Philadelphia. This game will be televised regionally on CBS, and as Vietbet customers watch it live, they can also place wagers in real time, through the magic of Live Betting Ultra.

Steelers vs Eagles – CJ’s Take:
The Steelers are without Le’Veon Bell, who will be back next week against the Kansas City Chiefs, and Martavis Bryant, the wide receiver who will be suspended for the entire season. But they have won their first two games, and last week against Cincinnati Bengals it was perhaps the meeting of the AFC North’s two top squads. Big Ben has six touchdowns thus far, and one of the big factors in these victories is the play of DeAngelo Williams, who has stepped into the starting running back slot and run for 237 yards. It is highly unusual for 33-year-old running back to be up among the league leaders.
The bigger surprise that the Eagles are 2-0, although they have beaten to relatively weak squads in Chicago and Cleveland. But they have also used a rookie quarterback with no previous NFL experience. Carson Wentz was the #2 choice in the NFL draft, and he has looked like an old pro in these two games, throwing 71 passes without an interception. He is also very cool under pressure and makes a lot of good decisions at the line of scrimmage.
You cannot talk about the Eagles without mentioning their defense. This has been a revelation under coordinator Jim Schwartz, who when last seen was being fired by Rex Ryan in Buffalo, only after he had molded that unit into the #4 defense in the NFL. Schwartz’s team has allowed two touchdowns in two games (Chicago scored on a kick return last week) and this has made it easier for the rookie quarterback to step in and “manage” the game.
What we know about Roethlisberger, though, is that he can stand up to a pass rush. He’s physically strong enough to shed tacklers and buy himself time, and when he is doing that he can connect with people like Antonio Brown (12 catches, 165 yards).
And a new star emerged last week. BetAnySports patrons got a look at wide receiver Sammy Coates, who made receptions of 53 and 44 yards which were critical in taking this team into touchdown drives. Plus, Pittsburgh does a good job of throwing its opponents off-balance when it goes to the no-huddle attack. But remember that those players who remain on Philadelphia’s defensive unit have practiced against that, because Chip Kelly was the head coach there last season.
Pittsburgh’s stop unit, stewarded by Keith Butler, is a good story as well. They have done a very good job at the line of scrimmage, limiting opponents to just 3.4 yards per carry. But they only have one sack through two games, and they’d like to get more pressure on the youngster in order to see if they can force some mistakes.
Next up for both teams:
- Pittsburgh home to Kansas City Sunday, October 2
- Philadelphia at Detroit Sunday, October 9
