Green Bay has lost four consecutive games. In the last two they have given up 89 points. And they have surrendered an average of 38.3 points. Is there any end in sight? Well, these guys have just had to deal with a lot of injuries, particularly those in the defensive backfield. Sam Shields is on injured reserve and Damarious Randall is listed as questionable. The Packers are hurting in a number of areas, including the offensive line and the offensive backfield. Center JC Tretter and guard TJ Lang missed the last game, and Green Bay had to dip into the depth chart to pull tackle Jason Briggs off the bench to replace Don Barclay, who was subbing for Lang. This would affect the running game, if there was indeed a running game. Eddie Lacy, the guy who is capable of punishing defenses, is on injured reserve, and they have gotten very little out of James Starks. However, they might actually get a boost from Christine Michael, who was released by the Seattle Seahawks when Thomas Rawls got healthier. Michael is not a game-changer, but he will could give them solid service in the backfield and catch some passes too.
