Arsenal and Hull are at different ends of the table in the English Premier League, but the three points available to each side are just as crucial to both clubs when they meet this weekend. They’ll battle each other at the Emirates Stadium in London this Saturday, February 11th when Hull travels south to the capital.
Arsenal came out on the wrong end of a 3-1 decision to Chelsea in a huge London derby at Stamford Bridge last weekend while Hull shocked Liverpool 2-0 at home.

Arsenal enters the 25th round in fourth place on the table. They’ve won five of their past nine games in all competitions and have five wins, a draw and four defeats in their last 10 Premier League outings with 19 goals for and 14 against. The club has 47 points on the year from 14 wins, five draws and five losses with a shared league-high 52 goals for and 28 against. They previously went 23 matches in all competitions without losing earlier this season.
The Gunners now sit 12 points back of Chelsea and have a mountain to climb to catch the leaders Chelsea to win their first league title since 2005. They’re three points behind second-place Tottenham Hotspur, one behind third-place Manchester City and just point in front of fourth-place Liverpool. Arsenal has eight wins, two draws and two defeats at home in league play this season with 24 goals for and 13 against. Manager Arsene Wenger will be serving the fourth and final game of his four-match ban for misconduct.
On the injury front, midfielder Santi Cazorla is out until March and forward Yaya Sanogo is also sidelined. Midfielder Aaron Ramsey and defender Hector Bellerin are questionable and midfielder Granit Xhaka has one game to go in his suspension. In addition, Wenger sent Chuba Akpom out on loan to Brighton and Hove Albion of the second-tier English championship League.
Hull City – A Closer Look:
Hull City has been playing well lately, bit is still in the relegation zone. They now sit in 18th place in the 20-team league after their win over Liverpool. The club has just 20 points out of a possible 72 after 24 matches. They have five wins, five draws and 14 losses with 22 goals for and 47 against. They have just two victories in their past 13 league contests with four draws and losses and have been outscored 23-12 in those games.
Hull sits just one point ahead of both Crystal Palace and Sunderland, but is only one point behind the safety zone as they trail Middlesbrough, Swansea City and Leicester City with all three teams having 21 points. Hull has a lone win away from home in league action this season along with two draws and nine defeats. They’ve scored six goals on their journeys this campaign and allowed 26 against. On the injury front, defender Moses Odubajo is out for the season while defender Curtis Davies and midfielders Ryan Mason, Markus Henriksen and Brian Lenihan on the long-term injury list with forward William Keane.
New manager Marco Silva was busy in the January transfer window as he acquired Markus Henriksen from AZ Alkmaar, Oumar Niasse from Everton, Evandro from FC Porto, Omar Elabdellaoui from Olympiacos, Lazar Markovic from Liverpool, Andrea Ranocchia from Inter Milan, Alfred N’Diaye from Villarreal and Kamil Grosicki from Rennes. Players sent out non loan were Harvey Rodgers, Jonathan Edwards, Allan McGregor, Alex Bruce, James Weir and Josh Clackstone. Rory Watson was released while Jake Livermore was sold to West Bromwich Albion and Robert Snodgrass was sold to West Ham United.

Hull has a win and draw against Man United and a win over Liverpool in their past three games while Arsenal let their fans down once again in a crucial contest with their loss to Chelsea. The Gunners title hopes have all but disappeared, so they’ll focus on a top-four finish.
