The Miami Dolphins felt like a team behind the eight ball early in training camp last year, as Ryan Tannehill, the starting quarterback, went down with a season-ending knee injury. He had been hurt the year before as well, as Matt Moore had to finish off a season in which Miami got back to the playoffs in Adam Gase’s first year as head coach. So what VietBet customers might be wondering is whether the Dolphins, who let go of some premium players in the off-season, have what it takes to challenge for a playoff spot.

2018 Miami Dolphins Odds and Betting Preview
It might be interesting to examine the situation surrounding Tannahill, who has put up decent numbers in his career but never really turned out to be the kind of difference-maker you would expect out of a first-round draft pick. Last year, of course, Miami went with Jay Cutler, who they pulled out of retirement, but that option is not available now, as Cutler is headed to the broadcast booth, and Miami probably wouldn’t bring him back anyway. Moore, a steady backup, isn’t around any longer either, so in case Tannehill injures himself again, Gase reached out and acquired Brock Osweiler, who he had worked with in Denver. But the Dolphins hope that won’t have to be the option they go with under center.
If Frank Gore, who played his college ball in Miami and has been a very consistent performer throughout his long career, can get one more season out of himself, that’s an upgrade for the ground game, though his 3.7 ypc average from 2017 is not inspiring. Fourth-round pick Kalen Ballage (Arizona State) may be able to do something here. You have to say that there is some value in picking up a possession receiver like Danny Amendola. There are observers who watched the Big 10 closely less season who believe that Mike Gesicki, who played tight end at Penn State less season, can become a major contributor right away. Actually, that much could be expected out of the second-round draft choice at this position.
As the Miami Marlins encountered a lot of criticism for getting rid of some of their best players, the Dolphins did virtually the same thing. Jarvis Landry, who led the NFL in receptions less season, is now a member of the Cleveland Browns. Center Mike Pouncey, a Pro Bowl performer, is with the Los Angeles Chargers, and Ndamukong Suh, one of the better defensive lineman in the league, was jettisoned and is now with the Los Angeles Rams. These guys are hard to replace.
Robert Quinn, the former Ram, was acquired to give a boost to the pass rush, but he may be well past his sell-by date. One very positive move for the defense is going to be first-round draft pick Minkah Fitzpatrick, who was actually not expected to last until the 11th pick. He should come in and make a secondary better almost immediately, but they still got a long way to go back there.
When it comes to the very basic statistics, the Dolphins came up pretty short, as only four teams in the league scored fewer points on a per-game basis than they did, and just three teams surrendered more. That’s how you wind up with a 6-10 season, and it probably could have been worse. The Dolphins could be improved simply if they didn’t match their minus-14 turnover ratio from last season. But there’s just a lot of mediocrity around here, and you have to point to the front office for their failure to do any upgrades. Miami is obviously not winning this division, and they will have their hands full trying to surpass Buffalo and the New York Jets.
