The Carolina Panthers, who finished 15-1 in the 2015 season and went on to lose the Super Bowl to the Denver Broncos, rebounded from a very disappointing 2016 campaign to go 11-5 and make the playoffs last season. As they look at things in the off-season, they endeavored to address needs that they have had for some time now, so perhaps VietBet customers can expect that they will be a little more wide-open in 2018.

2018 Carolina Panthers Odds and Betting Preview
Having receivers who can really stretch the field is a luxury Carolina hasn’t really had a lot of, and so they worked hard to correct that. Torrey Smith, who was in the Super Bowl last season for Philadelphia and had previously been a big playmaker for the Ravens in another Super Bowl victory, brings us some speed to the table. Likewise for DJ Moore, the first-round draft pick out of Maryland, Jarius Wright, who played last season with the Minnesota Vikings, was also added. So Cam Newton, whose touchdown-interception ratio last season was just 22-16, can’t complain that he has no outlets to throw to.
Franchise mainstay Jonathan Stewart, who averaged just 3.4 yards per carry last season and was getting a little stale, is now with the New York Giants. Carolina likes to think they have upgraded in that department by signing CJ Anderson, who can be a workhorse for them in the backfield. The Panthers also have one of the top pass-catching running backs in Christian McCaffrey, who actually led the team with 80 receptions last year.
Defense has obviously been a staple of this team through the years, and this season they welcome a new defensive coordinator in Erik Washington, who replaces Steve Wilks, who moved on to take the head coaching job with the Arizona Cardinals. This team lost Star Lotuleilei off the defensive line, in addition to Kurt Coleman out of the defensive backfield. But knowing that they needed to shore up the secondary a little, they made several acquisitions. One of them is Ross Cockrell, who will back up James Bradberry at one of the corner positions while De’Norris Searcy, who played with Tennessee last season, will likely start at strong safety. Carolina also drafted Dante Jackson out of ELSU in the second round, and he will provide support at one of the corner spots, while Rashaun Gaulden, the third-round pick out of Tennessee, will compete at one of the safety spots.
The veteran front seven is obviously the strength of this team, with Luke Kuechly, the dean, back there at linebacker. But 14-year veteran Thomas Davis is going to be lost to this team for the first four games on a suspension. One of the nice pickups was Dontari Poe, who should more than makeup for the absence of Lotuleilei.
The defense, which was ranked seventh in the league last season, should hold up its end of the bargain. The key to the Panthers’ success this year will probably involve the ability of Newton to connect with the new receivers, and whether Anderson can help them really pound it on the ground.
