Final Four Betting and Preview – Oregon Ducks:

Oregon is 33-5 straight-up and 22-13 ATS coming into the Final Four, and they have had some anxious moments during this Big Dance. They got challenged against Rhode Island, and then they scored a one-point win over Michigan. But the team that was expected to give them the most trouble, the Kansas Jayhawks, were turned away with prejudice, as Oregon hit 29 of its 57 shots from the field and defeated Kansas 74-62 to reach this level of play.

Oregon, coached by the resourceful Dana Altman, suffered a crushing blow during the Pac 12 tournament when It lost center Chris Boucher to a knee injury. Boucher was a factor on both ends of the floor, hitting 63% of his two-point shots and ranking eighth in the nation and blocked shot percentage. He was, quite simply, the anchor of their defense. And, with really no time to adjust for his loss, origin had to go into the title game against Arizona not knowing what to do underneath. Consequently, they surrendered 58% shooting to the Wildcats and lost the game.

But as VietBet patrons know by now, they have made a full recovery. And a major factor there has been Tyler Dorsey, the sophomore guard at of Los Angeles who has now scored 20 or more points in seven straight games. That’s the big event for somebody who only averaged 14 points during the regular season. Against Kansas, Dorsey scored 27 points, and he has 98 total in the NCAA Tournament. So he is definitely someone that North Carolina will have to account for on Saturday.

When it comes to compensating for the loss of Boucher, a prominent figure is Jordan Bell, who was a great complement for the center all season long, ranking fifth in the Pac 12 in offensive rebounding percentage. In this tournament, Bell has made 22 of his 30 field goals, pulled down 24 offensive rebounds, and play the role of intimidator quite well, with eight blocks against Kansas.

And we haven’t even mentioned the All-American in this group. Dillon Brooks, the Canadian native who played his high school basketball in Las Vegas, was the conference player of the year, and he is known as a clutch performer, having won three games for the ducks this season with buzzer-beaters. It will be rather difficult for North Carolina to come up with a matchup for him, since Theo Pinson, who did such a good job on De’Aaron Fox last week, will probably be guarding Dorsey. Maybe the key to Oregon’s chances to go all the way will involve the play of freshman point guard Peyton Pritchard, who has been giving the responsibility of running this team on the floor, at least at times. He is not a prolific shooter, so teams might be able to play “off” him, and that enables them to help out on other players.
