Two NFL teams with playoff hopes still alive will be squaring off against each other this Sunday, December 4th when the Baltimore Ravens host the Miami Dolphins at M&T Stadium. Miami downed San Francisco 31-24 at home last week for their sixth consecutive victory, the team’s best streak since 2005. They sit in second place in the AFC East at 7-4 on the season. Meanwhile, the Ravens took care of the Cincinnati Bengals 19-14 at home. They enter week 13 tied with the Steelers for first place in the AFC North Division at 6-5.

Miami Dolphins – A Closer Look:
Miami Running back Jay Ajayi had a mediocre outing in the win over the 49ers as he averaged only 2.5 yards per rush in a game in which he ran for only 45 yards. He
did manage to score a touchdown though. Quarterback Ryan Tannehill helped pick up the slack with 285 yards and a trio of touchdown passes. Miami will be up against the sixth-best defense in the league as Baltimore allows just 224.9 passing yards against per game and 74.9 on the ground. The Dolphins could also be without receiver DeVante Parker due to injury. The Dolphins faced the league’s worst ground defense last week, but could only rush for 95 yards against San Francisco.
Three Miami receivers, Kenny Stills, Leonte Carroo and Dion Sims each had a touchdown last week with Stills leading the way with three receptions for a team-best 72 yards. Dion Sims had four catches for 53 yards and Carroo caught one pass for his 15-yard touchdown. Parker played and racked up three receptions for 64 yards, but it’s unclear if he’ll suit up against the Ravens. The Dolphins are 2-3 straight up and 3-2 ATS over their past five road trips.
Baltimore Ravens – A Closer Look:
Baltimore’s 19-14 home win over the Bengals allowed them to hang onto a share of first place in the AFC North at 6-5, the same as Pittsburgh. The Ravens average 87.8 yards on the ground each week and 247.7 yards in the air. Quarterback Joe Flacco’s most consistent receivers have been Mike Wallace and Steve Smith with Smith averaging 59.5 yards an outing and Wallace chipping in with 72 yards a game. The Baltimore rushing game is weak though as its 966 yards this season ranks the fifth-lowest. The Ravens have won three of their past four contests with some fine play by Flacco.
He tossed for a touchdown and 234 yards last week with Justin Tucker racking up four field goals. The win snapped the team’s five-game skid against fellow AFC North clubs. The Ravens’ defense is also doing its job and has allowed its last five opponents to score only 17 points at the most. Miami will be a handful though with quarterback Tannehill tossing for nine touchdowns in the past five contests, with five in the last three. He’ll need to be sharp though since Baltimore registered three sacks on Andy Dalton last week. The Ravens are 3-2 both straight up and ATS over the last five games at home.
