The Hammers are eight points ahead of 18th-place Hull City and the relegation zone. They’re on a five-game unbeaten streak and haven’t allowed a goal in their past three matches.
West Ham has just two wins in their past 10 league contests along with three draws and five defeats while scoring 10 goals and conceding 15. At home this season, they have a record of seven wins, four draws and seven defeats with 19 goals for and 27 against. Manager Slaven Bilic has several injury concerns as defender Arthur Masuaku and striker Andy Carroll are questionable while forward Diafra Sakho is out for the season along with midfielders Pedro Mba Obiang, Michail Antonio and Gokhan Tore. In addition, defender Angelo Ogbonna is listed as day to day.
Liverpool – A Closer Look:
The Reds are still hanging onto third place in the standings with their 70 points from 20 wins, 10 draws and six losses with 71 goals for and 42 against. They’re just one point ahead of fourth-place Manchester City, four ahead of fifth-place Arsenal and five points up on sixth-place Manchester United with all three of those teams having a game in hand on Liverpool. It’s possible that Liverpool could be passed by all three teams still if the Reds lose their final two games of the season.
Liverpool has nine wins, five draws and four losses away from home this season with 29 goals for and 24 against. They have has six wins, three draws and one loss in their past 10 league outings with 16 goals for and nine against. As usual, manager Jurgen Klopp has some injury issues to deal with as midfielder Sadio Mane, striker Danny Ings and goaltender Adam Bogdan are out for the season. In addition, midfielders Jordan Henderson and Philippe Coutinho are both listed as day to day.
