Tottenham Hotspur vs West Bromwich Albion – Head to Head:

These two teams last met in London in October and played to a 0-0 draw. They also met twice in Premier League play last season and played to 1-1 draws in both games. Overall, these two sides have met 142 times in the past with Tottenham winning 55, losing 52 and drawing the other 35. Six of the last nine games have ended in draws with Tottenham winning two and West Brom winning the other game. It’s West Brom’s lone win in the past 14 meetings.

Tottenham Hotspur – A Closer Look:

Tottenham beat Chelsea 2-0 in their last Premier League outing and enters this game on a six-game winning streak. The three points against Chelsea saw them climb into a third-place tie with Manchester City. Spurs have 42 points from 12 wins, six draws and just two defeats. They’ve scored 39 goals and allowed a league-low 14 against. They’re third place in the standings due to a superior goal difference than Man City. Tottenham is now seven points behind league-leading Chelsea and only two back of second-place Liverpool.

They’re also one point ahead of fifth-place Arsenal and three in front of sixth-place Manchester United.

Spurs now have nine wins in their past 19 games in all competitions along with five draws and five defeats and have won eight of their past nine matches in all competitions. Tottenham is unbeaten at home in league play this season with eight wins and a pair of draws with 21 goals for and five against. On the injury front, it looks line Erik Lamela is the only player listed as doubtful for the game because of injury. Spurs have seven wins, a draw and two losses in their past 10 league contests.

West Bromwich Albion – A Closer Look:

West Brom enters the weekend in eighth place in the 20-team league. They have 29 points from eight wins, five defeats and seven draws with 28 goals scored and 24 allowed. They’re 20 points behind the league lead and 13 points behind fourth place. However, they appear to be safe from relegation at this points with a 14-point lead over 18th-place Sunderland. Their last league game was a 3-1 home win over newly-promoted Hull City. West Brom has three wins, three draws and four losses away from home this season with just nine goals for and 10 against.

They’ve been shutout in three of those matches and managed to score just once in five of them. Manager Tony Pulis has a relatively healthy squad to choose from as forward Saido Berahino is the only player named on the injury list. West Brom has six wins, a draw and three losses in their past 10 league contests. They’ve 18 goals and conceded 10 during that stretch.

Tottenham Hotspur vs Aston Villa – Takeaway:

West Brom has given Spurs a hard time over the years, but not recently with just one win in their past 14 meetings. Tottenham needs to take advantage of their home turf and take all three points to stay in the title race.
