The Steelers have some suspensions to deal with at the outset of the season. Le’Veon Bell, the dual threat running back, will be missing for the first three games, and Martavis Bryant, the team’s second-leading receiver from last year, has caught a season-long suspension.
Ben Roethlisberger, of course, is under center for the Steelers, and he has to be unhappy about his ratio of 21 touchdowns to 16 interceptions last season. The Redskins obviously got a great season out of quarterback Kurt Cousins, who threw for 29 touchdowns with only 11 interceptions and led the league in completion percentage, hitting just below 70% of his passes. He has capable receivers, including the game-breaking DeSean Jackson, but Washington has to prove it has a viable running game to provide balance. Alfred Morris has left the organization, so there will be a lot of pressure on Matt Jones. And he gained only 3.4 yards per carry as a rookie.
