The image some people might have if they are not all that familiar with the Carolina Panthers is that they are a defensive team that is rather conservative on offense. Well, such is not the case for the three-time defending NFC South champions, who secured the #1 seed in the NFC playoffs with a 15-1 regular season record. The truth is, they haven’t been stopped by too many teams this season.
The Panthers will be playing host to the Arizona Cardinals in the conference championship game, which is set for 6:40 PM ET at Bank of America Stadium, with a ticket to Super Bowl 50 on the line. BetAnySports customers can watch the game live on Fox Network and place wagers on in while the contest is in progress through the state-of-the-art software of Live Betting Extra. It literally is more than a thrill a minute.

In the reduced juice NFL playoff betting odds posted on this game by the people at BetAnySports, the Panthers are favored:
Carolina Panthers -3 (-110)
Arizona Cardinals +3 (+100)
Over 47.5 points -108
Under 47.5 points -102
The Panthers have not only won 16 of 17 games (that includes last week’s Divisional Round win over Seattle) but have also compiled a 12-5 mark against the football pointspread. And although the Cardinals are perceived as the slick, down-the-field offensive team, it is Carolina that led the league in scoring this year, tallying 500 points even.

Even though Cam Newton has completed just 59.7% of his passes, which would considered kind of low in this era of high-percentage passing attacks, he is effective because he does not operate a “dink and dunk” attack. Rather, these Panthers like to get it out there, under the direction of coordinator Mike Shula (the son of Don), who has been tutoring Newton ever since the Heisman Trophy winner came to the Panthers as a #1 overall selection in the draft.
It has always been known that Newton could do it with his arm or his legs, and that has been the “value-added” component that has made him the favorite for the MVP award. Indeed, he is the only quarterback to have as many as 35 touchdown passes and ten touchdown runs in the same season.
BetAnySports patrons may have given the Panthers up for dead when they saw Kelvin Benjamin, the big receiver who had a standout rookie year, went down with season-ending injury before the regular schedule began. And with Devin Funchess, a second-round pick out of Michigan, the only real addition to that receiving corps, some thought the Panthers might be stuck in the mid somehow. But Ted Ginn, a disappointment with other teams, had 739 yards and ten touchdowns, while Funchess chipped in with 473 yards. The #1 target for Newton, however, is tight end Greg Olsen, who was the leader, by far, in receptions (77) and yardage (1104), and he is unquestionably the guy the Cards have to stop. If they can do that, a lot can fall into place.
Watch out for Jonathan Stewart, who was a successful tandem with DeAngelo Williams for years until Williams signed with the Steelers. He had been sidelined with an injury for three weeks, but came back with 106 yards against the Seahawks, helping the Panthers to their 28th straight game with more than 100 rushing yards. Along with Pro Bowl fullback Mike Tolbert, he helps make this attack very well-rounded.
