What Does Ole Miss Do For an Encore? They Could Beat Texas A&M!

The Rebels of Ole Miss came up with one of their biggest wins in many years this past weekend. They were also recognized and rewarded for it. But when you are playing big-time college football in the SEC, you have to prove you can do it on a week-after-week basis. This Saturday, Ole Miss has to go on the road and prove its mettle against the Aggies of Texas A&M in college football betting action that gets underway at 9 PM ET from Kyle Field in College Station, TX.
That wasn’t just any upset Mississippi pulled last week; it was a win over the Alabama Crimson Tide, who had just been elevated to the #1 spot in the coaches poll. As a result of that game, the Rebels vaulted into a tie for third in the Associated Press poll, along with hated rival Mississippi State. They are also #6 in the coaches poll.
Texas A&M is off a disappointing loss to Mississippi State, in which it failed to cover as a 2.5-point underdog in the college football betting odds. So if the Rebels can find something more in the emotional tank, they can work on getting revenge over the Aggies, who beat them in an exciting finish last season.

As Ole Miss beat Alabama (23-17 final), it gave them their first 5-0 start since way back in 1962. They have a quarterback in Bo Wallace who is most certainly coming of age, as he has completed 68.5% of his passes with 14 touchdowns. He came up big against one of the nation’s most formidable defenses (in fact, still rated third in the country), as he threw for 251 yards and three scores.

He has only thrown two interceptions outside of last week’s loss. So a bounceback effort could be in the cards.
But this is a revenge game for Ole Miss, which blew a touchdown lead in the latter stages, as Manziel led the Aggies to a 41-38 when, which wasn’t clinched until a field goal with time expiring. That was the Rebels’ six loss without a win against Texas A&M, but that’s okay; they had lost ten straight to Alabama before finally getting retribution last week.
