The Seattle Seahawks are not only the defending two-time NFC champions, they are also one of the most fearsome teams in football once again. They have established that with their late-season run, where they have won and covered six of their last seven games. And they are ready to welcome “Beast Mode” back to action. Is this way too much of a combination for the Minnesota Vikings, a team they thoroughly dominated only about a month ago? We will find out, as these two teams meet up in a first-round NFC playoff matchup that begins at 1:05 PM ET on Sunday at TCF Bank Stadium in Minneapolis. You know, even after the opening kickoff, Vietbet customers can still remain very much involved in the action as they partake in real-time wagering against the NFL playoff betting odds through the software provided by Live Betting Extra.

Marshawn Lynch has sat out seven games with an abdominal injury, but they have been getting him ready for the playoffs, and all indications are that he will make post. Pete Carroll has even mentioned that he could handle a rather heavy workload. It’s not as if Seattle’s ground attack has been, well, ground to a halt in his absence; first, rookie Thomas Rawls filled in and was a monster, rambling for 830 yards on a 5.6-yard average. And Christine Michael, who was traded earlier in the season to the Dallas Cowboys but then picked up again after he was cut, has had a couple of big games. So it won’t be as if Lynch will have to shoulder the entire burden.

After starting the season with a 2-4 record, the Seahawks came roaring down the stretch and finished with a 10-6 straight-up record (8-7-1 ATS). They lost their first three games on the road this season, but they have won their last three as a visitor by a combined 109-19. That would seem to indicate some dominant play, wouldn’t it?

As part of its current toward run, Seattle came through Minneapolis like a tornado back on December 6, beating the Vikings 38-7 and in the process limiting the Minnesota offense to just 125 yards and nine first downs. It was a nightmare for Adrian Peterson, who gained only 18 yards on eight carries, and Teddy Bridgewater could not pick up the slack, as he had only 117 yards through the air. Seattle held the ball for 35 minutes, and Minnesota undoubtedly acquired an inferiority complex.

Seattle is really making things interesting in the NFC, which has at least a couple of other genuine Super Bowl contenders in Arizona and Carolina. And it can be argued that the Seahawks have the hottest quarterback in the game right now. Russell Wilson has thrown 24 touchdown passes with only one interception in the last seven games, and his 110.1 quarterback rating is the best in the NFL right now. Some Vietbet patrons believe he should be in the MVP discussion, considering that he contributes in other ways as well; namely, his 554 rushing yards.

He has done all this despite losing All-Pro tight end Jimmy Graham (acquired in the off-season from New Orleans) to injury. But the receivers he has are dangerous – Doug Baldwin had 14 touchdown catches, with Jermaine Kearse and rookie Tyler Lockett (named to the Pro bowl as a return man) combining for eleven more.

And if you can dominate on defense like these guys can, you don’t even need a whole lot of offense to move forward. Seattle has yielded a total of 401 yards on the ground in their last seven contests, and they have forced the opponent to punt on 52.4% of all drives. On the road, they have allowed just 3.1 yards per carry, and Minnesota should have its work cut out for it in the red zone, as the ‘Hawks have permitted just 42% touchdowns when the other team gets inside the 20 (that’s third best in the league).

Has enough changed to really give the Vikings a fighting chance?
