Buccaneers vs Cowboys – CJ’s Take:

Dallas quarterback Dak Prescott was the darling of many NFL observers with the way he came in and replaced the injured Tony Romo, leading the team to 11 straight victories. But people are fickle, and as Prescott has thrown for less than 200 yards in each of his last three games, and was intercepted twice against the Giants in the 10-7 lost last week, there are some who are calling for him to be replaced by Romo, who is healthy again. Romo, a real team player, made a very eloquent speech calling for the end of quarterback controversies and, in essence, turning the team over to Prescott. We don’t expect that any changes are imminent.

They won’t be making any changes at quarterback in Tampa Bay either. Jameis Winston, the Heisman Trophy winner, has been able to connect for 3364 yards and 23 touchdowns, and his principal target is Mike Evans, who is at an even 1100 yards at the moment. Cameron Brate has been one of the pleasant surprises of the season, as the Harvard-educated tight end has caught 51 passes and six touchdowns. The real story on this team, however, is defense, and over this five-game stretch of victories, they have allowed only 64 points.

Last weekend the Bucs befuddled New Orleans quarterback Drew Brees, who had “only” 259 yards and was intercepted three times. This Buccaneer secondary has held opposing quarterbacks to a rating of 88.7, which is very formidable. And the opposition has converted only 34% on third down against them.

What you want to look for with Tampa Bay, as far as their chances going forward, is their ability to run the football, because Doug Martin, Jacquizz Rodgers and Charles Sims are all available. That is rare for this team. So they have the ability to really mix it up, which would make Winston more effective.

VietBet patrons know that as far as the Cowboys are concerned, running the football is a necessity. And they have the guy who is currently the best in the business to help them do that. Ezekiel Elliott has 1392 yards on the season and would have to be considered the front-runner for rookie of the year honors. This is one of the best offensive lines in all of football, if not THE best. And this has enabled the Cowboys to place fifth in the NFL in total offense behind a rookie quarterback who was a fourth-round draft pick.

The Cowboys have allowed only five rushing touchdowns, but in the secondary they are somewhat vulnerable, allowing just a shade under 70% completions. Tampa Bay is particularly dangerous, because they have registered 14 takeaways in the last five games, and Winston has quick strike ability, especially to Evans, a big receiver who presents matchup problems for just about any quarterback who covers him.
