It can be safely said that both the Oakland Raiders and the Tennessee Titans pulled off surprises last season. While the Raiders were able to get to a 12-4 record, which got them into the playoffs, the Titans finished 9-7, and were on the cusp of the post-season. Now Tennessee coach Mike Mularkey feels his team is ready to take the next step, and that starts with this game, which will be getting underway at 1 PM ET on Sunday at Nissan Stadium in Nashville. CBS will televise the game on a regional basis, and VietBet customers will have the opportunity to place wagers on it as it is happening, using the state-of-the-art software from Live Betting Ultra.

Raiders at Titans Preview – Closer Look at the Tennessee Titans:
Tennessee had to deal with a broken fibula on the part of quarterback Marcus Mariota toward the end of the season, which was a tough break. But Mariota, who was brilliant in the red zone and fashioned a 26-9 ratio of touchdowns to interceptions, is back and has the potential to become one of the smartest quarterbacks in the NFL. Of course, you’re going to look a lot smarter when your running game is working, and the objective on the part of the Titans is to play a little “smash mouth” with the likes of DeMarco Murray (1287 yards last year) and former Heisman Trophy winner Derrick Henry. They also went out and addressed a need in the draft, taking Corey Davis, the record-setting receiver from Western Michigan, in the first round. He’ll make a good combination with tight end Delanie Walker. If the Titans truly get multi-dimensional, look out.
Raiders at Titans Preview – Closer Look at the Oakland Raiders:
The Raiders couldn’t be happier about the development of quarterback Derek Carr, who was having an MVP-type season before he went down with his own broken leg. But he completed almost 64% of his passes with 28 touchdowns and was intercepted only six times. He has a pair of 1000-yard receivers in Amari Cooper and Michael Crabtree, and Oakland is now hopeful that Marshawn Lynch, who is coming off a one-year retirement, can give them a bruising running game. He won’t have to shoulder the whole burden, as Jalen Richard and Dwayne Washington are behind him, but there is no doubt that the Raiders are looking to him for big things.
VietBet patrons know that big things are exactly what Oakland gave up on defense too many times in the 2016 season. And they are in need of help in the secondary. Sean Smith has an assault charge hanging over his head, and first-round draft pick Gareon Conley of Ohio State has had his own off-the-field issues and got off to a rather rocky start with management over a shin injury that kept him out of the early part of camp.
But maybe Oakland can overcome some of this by simply outscoring opponents. That didn’t exactly happen in last year’s meeting, as they eked out a 17-10 victory right here at Nissan Stadium, but Carr has an outlet at tight end that he did not have last season, as Jared Cook was acquired. Will Lynch work out? That is indeed the big question around the Bay Area these days, and, we guess in Las Vegas, which awaits the eventual arrival of the Silver and Black.
