NFL Betting — Fab Five Includes Brady-Rodgers Showdown

There is nothing like watching an high-level shootout between two great quarterbacks. And such will be the case when the New England Patriots, led by Tom Brady, pay a visit to the Green Bay Packers, with Aaron Rodgers at the helm. That is unquestionably the biggest marquee matchup on the slate.
New England Patriots at Green Bay Packers – 4:25 PM ET

The Patriots have won seven games in a row, and that is really funny, considering how so many people were writing them off after that beatdown they suffered at the hands of Kansas City. Tom Brady likes to incorporate two tight ends into the offensive mix, and it looks as if that is something that is in the process of happening with Tim Wright (six TD catches) joining Rob Gronkowski as someone to worry about. Aaron Rodgers, unbelievably, has thrown 29 touchdown passes at Lambeau Field since his last interception. And his team has scored 188 points in its last four home games. But New England is always a dangerous dig, covering 16 of its last 21 when getting points.
New Orleans Saints at Pittsburgh Steelers – 1 PM ET

The Saints are still tied for the lead in the NFC South, despite three consecutive home losses. Does Drew Brees miss wide receiver Brandin Cooks (out for the season with an injury)? He was developing a great rapport with the rookie. The Steelers will try to stop Brees’ short passing game and make him beat them down the field. Waiting for that will be safety Troy Polamalu, who has returned after being out a couple of games. Le’Veon Bell is second in the league in rushing, and he is coming off a 204-yard effort against Tennessee.
Cleveland Browns at Buffalo Bills – 1 PM ET

Kudos to the Browns for going into Atlanta and winning in what is usually a tough place. They have already served notice that their offense can be more versatile and explosive with Josh Gordon on one side of the formation, as he topped 100 yards receiving in his first game back from suspension. The Bills did a great job of improvising in the wake of very difficult scheduling circumstances brought about by the snowstorm in Buffalo, as they annihilated the Jets 38-3. And their stadium should be in good working condition this week.
Denver Broncos at Kansas City Chiefs – 8:30 PM ET

The Chiefs can actually gain a tie in the AFC West with a win here. But Kansas City needs, from a psychological standpoint, to get over that loss to the previously winless Oakland Raiders. That was not a high-water mark for this club, but take note that they had covered NINE games in a row prior to that. Over their last four games, the Broncos have suffered double-digit losses to New England at St. Louis, and had to come back from eleven points down in the fourth quarter to beat Miami. Peyton Manning now has 34 touchdown passes, and Kansas City has STILL not had a TD catch by a wide receiver.
Arizona Cardinals at Atlanta Falcons – 4:05 PM ET

Arizona is still tied for the best record in football, but the Cardinals showed some chinks in the armor in last week’s 19-3 loss at Seattle. They had only 204 yards on offense, and even though they sacked Russell Wilson seven times, they did allow the Seattle quarterback to get loose for 77 yards on the ground. It’s a good thin for them that they will have more of a dropback passer in front of them in Matt Ryan (65%, 19 TD’s). If the season ended today, Atlanta, at 4-7, would be the NFC South champion!
