Overall, the two teams have met just 21 times in the past with Liverpool winning 14, losing two and drawing the other five.

Hull City – A Closer Look:

Hull climbed out of the Premier League basement with their draw in Manchester on Wednesday. They now sit in 19th place in the 20-team league and are still in the relegation zone though. Players sent out non loan were Harvey Rodgers, Jonathan Edwards, Allan McGregor, Alex Bruce, James Weir and Josh Clackstone. Liverpool – A Closer Look:

The Reds’ didn’t gain any ground on first-place Chelsea during the week, but they didn’t gain any either as they settled for a 1-1 draw. This means the team still remains in fourth place in the Premier League 10 points behind the leaders. They’re also one point back of both Arsenal and Tottenham Hotspur and are tied on points with Manchester City. However, they have a better goal differential than Man City and therefore occupy fourth place in the standings.

The Merseyside club has 46 points on the season from 13 wins, seven draws and three defeats with a league-best 52 goals for and 28 against. The Reds have just one victory in their past nine contests in all competitions along with four losses and four draws. Overall though, the side has been beaten in just five of its last 28 outings in all competitions. Manager Jurgen Klopp has a few injury concerns to deal with as forward Danny Ings and goaltender Adam Bogdan are out for the season and midfielder Marko Grujic is listed as day to day. On the bright side, Sadio Mane has returned from the African Cup of Nations.

Liverpool has four wins, four draws and two losses in their last 10 league encounters with 20 goals for and 14 against. They have six wins away from home this campaign along with four draws and a pair of defeats with 23 goals for and 17 conceded. They’ve also registered nine clean sheets in the last 17 matches in all competitions. Liverpool recently sent Tiago Ilori, Mamadou Sakho, and Lazar Markovic out on loan during the January transfer window and re-signed Joe Gomez to a long-term contract.

Hull City vs Liverpool – Takeaway:

Hull has a win and draw against Man United in the last week and Liverpool is struggling, so anything’s possible in this contest.
