Tottenham Hotspur may need to run the table if they have any chance of catching English Premier League leaders Chelsea this season. On the injury front, strikers Harry Kane and Erik Lamela are both expected to miss the game along with defender Danny Rose while midfielder Mousa Dembele is questionable.

They have nine wins, six draws and 11 losses with 32 goals for and 34 against. They have four wins away from home along with three draws and seven defeats while scoring 18 times and conceding 20. In their past 10 league games, Southampton has four wins and six losses with 18 goals for and 19 against.
Southampton is 16 points behind sixth-place Manchester United and a Europa League spot and is nine points in front of 18th-place Hull City and the relegation zone. As far as injuries are concerned, defender Virgil Van Dijk is on the shelf along with midfielder Matthew Targett while forward Charlie Austin is still a few weeks away from returning. In addition, midfielder Jeremy Pied is expected to miss the remainder of the season.

Spurs have no choice but to win here if they hope to have any chance at all of catching Chelsea. Southampton is probably safe from relegation, but every point helps and they’ll probably be happy with a draw on Sunday.
