The New York Giants were hoping that this Sunday night’s encounter with the Dallas Cowboys was something that would carry some genuine meaning in the race to win the NFC East title. But with last week’s loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers, there is less of a chance of that happening. So they will, at the very least, try to solidify their position in the wild card chase as they take the field in this game that begins at 8:30 PM ET at MetLife Stadium in East Rutherford, NJ. NBC, of course, televises this game, and if you are a VietBet customer, you will have the opportunity to place wagers on this game as it is actually in progress, using the state-of-the-art software available from Live Betting Ultra.

Dallas Cowboys vs New York Giants – CJ’s Take:
Last week was something that Big Blue would like to forget. They couldn’t run the ball and got just 178 yards and two interceptions out of Eli Manning as they lost 24-14 to the Steelers, in a game that was probably not as close as the score indicated. So now what? After they had won six games in row, this team has to get itself together, because even with an 8-4 record (5-5-2 ATS), they’ve got other teams on their tail.
The Giants have already beaten the Cowboys once, and that was a dramatic 20-19 victory at AT&T Stadium in what was the NFL debut of both quarterback Dak Prescott and running back Ezekiel Elliott. Quite obviously it’s a whole new ballgame at the moment. Prescott has thrown 19 touchdown passes with only two INT’s, while Elliott leads the league with 1280 rushing yards.
The Giants had run for over 100 yards in three straight games, and that was a big help to Manning, but they had just 56 yards in 14 attempts against the Steelers. One thing Manning may be able to do is mitigate the effects of the Dallas pass rush. That would be important, because the Cowboys’ weakness is clearly their secondary; they have surrendered 70% completions and 20 TD passes, and have taken the ball away only four times. What can Odell Beckham put together here?
VietBet patrons know that the Giants spent a boatload of money to improve the defense, and that is something they have done. They have both held the opposition to 59% completions and 3.6 yards a carry, and that has to be very impressive for a team that was dead last in the league in total defense last season.
Dallas has been sharp in the red zone, scoring touchdowns on 66% of all occasions they have been there. And that isn’t a huge surprise, considering they can both run and pass the ball. This is intriguing from the standpoint of controlling the clock; while Dallas has held the ball for an average of 32:39 per game, the Giants have had an average possession time of only 26:50.
