Cardinals vs Seahawks – CJ’s Take:

Seattle’s performances have been uneven lately. They took care of business last week against the Los Angeles Rams, beating them 24-3, and three weeks ago, they really put it to the Carolina Panthers by a 40-7 count. But they were also embarrassed to a certain extent against both the Tampa Bay Buccaneers and Green Bay Packers. This is not the same kind of Seattle team we have seen in recent years, when they were very very tough to beat from the 1st of November forward. But the NFC West has not been all that competitive, so they are more or less skating to a division title.

The 2016 season has brought nothing but disappointment to the Arizona side. They have now lost four of their last five games, and last weekend their defense got lit up by Drew Brees and the New Orleans Saints, who piled up 488 yards against them. However, the offense showed some signs of life, and Carson Palmer is throwing the ball a little better now. Last week in the 48-41 defeat, he completed 28 out of 40 passes for 309 yards.

The Cardinals released Michael Floyd, their speedy wide receiver, last week after he was arrested for drunk driving. It was not necessarily the arrest that brought forth that move, but the way Floyd handled it, which was unacceptable in the opinion of team management. Arizona still has a lot of speed in the wide receiver corps, namely with JJ Nelson, who could stretch out the Seattle defense, which is missing safety Earl Thomas.

The first meeting between these two teams dragged through an entire overtime, with missed field goals, and took place at a point in the schedule where Arizona still had a chance to win the division. In that game, the Cardinals out-gained the Seahawks 443-257, and Palmer had 363 yards through the air. This should indicate to VietBet patrons that Bruce Arians’ team can get the ball moving.

Indeed, they’ve got offensive weapons at their disposal. David Johnson, just named to the Pro Bowl, has 1938 yards from scrimmage, and that includes 73 receptions. He has also scored 17 touchdowns. What’s interesting here is that Arizona has had 66 more first downs on offense than they have allowed, and their defensive unit has yielded fewer yards on a per-game basis than have the Seahawks. Russell Wilson threw only two interceptions through the first 10 games of the season, but has been picked off nine times in the last four games. The Arizona players were reportedly upset about Floyd’s release, but if they can get themselves together to play for pride, they are a pretty live underdog here.
