The Cleveland Browns can’t help but be a little discouraged after blowing a 20-0 lead last week at home. On top of that, they have lost another quarterback to injury. So it looks as if they are going to have to put a rookie in the game as they travel south to the humidity inside Hard Rock Stadium in Miami Gardens for a date with the Miami Dolphins, with kickoff scheduled for 1 PM ET. This game is shown live on CBS, and VietBet customers can watch it and place wagers in real-time, using the tremendous software available through Live Betting Ultra.

Browns vs Dolphins – CJ’s Take:
The Browns scored 20 points in the first quarter last week behind quarterback Josh McCown, who was starting after Robert Griffin III suffered a shoulder injury. But then they had an extra point blocked, which the Baltimore Ravens returned for two points, and then Baltimore went on to score 23 more unanswered points before all was said and done. McCown hurt himself during the game, with a shoulder injury just like Griffin, and so now the team will turn to USC product Cody Kessler, who was drafted in the third round back in April.
The Dolphins went down 31-3 in New England last weekend, but then found some life after knocking Patriots quarterback Jimmy Garoppolo out of the game. They scored three unanswered touchdowns, but they did not have enough time to complete their rally. Nonetheless, Ryan Tannehill, who has completed 65% of his passes this year, threw for 389 yards.
Kessler was known as an accurate passer when he was with the Trojans, but the rap on him was that he did not have a big-league arm. So he will be put to the test by the Dolphins’ defensive line. Kessler is not only the third different starter for Cleveland in the first three games, but also their fifth different starting quarterback in their last five regular season contests, and that is the first time that’s ever happened in NFL history.
There are some encouraging elements for Cleveland fans. Isaiah Crowell had an 85-yard run for them, while rookie wide receiver Corey Coleman has 173 yards through the first two games. Kessler, who threw for 40 touchdowns two seasons ago at USC, has to have enough arm to get the ball to him.
VietBet patrons who follow Miami closely have been waiting for Davante Parker to show something, and he did last week against New England, going over 100 yards receiving. And he really isn’t even 100% healthy yet. So there is the potential for potent trio of wideouts, including Jarvis Landry (196 yards in the first two games) and Kenny Stills. But we are keeping an eye on Arian Foster, who suffered a groin injury last week and is questionable for this game. Jay Ajayi would have to fill in if Foster can’t make it, and his “attitude problem” has landed him in the doghouse of first-year head coach Adam Gase.
The Browns are suffering from other injuries as well, as defensive end Carl Nassib and center Cameron Irving got hurt last week as well. So it kind of sounds like a cliché, but is accurate nonetheless, to say that the nightmare continues for the Browns.
Next up for both teams:
- Cleveland at Washington Sunday, October 2
- Miami at Cincinnati Thursday, September 29
