This year’s third tennis major will be taking place at the All England Club from between Monday, July 3rd and Sunday, July 16th when the famous Wimbledon tournament takes place. This year’s event is up for grabs since last year’s winner Serena Williams will miss it as she’s pregnant and 2004 winner Maria Sharapova is out with an injury. In addition, Angelique Kerber, the world’s top-ranked female tennis player, isn’t in good form. Those with good shots include 20-year-old Jelena Ostapenko and Petra Kvitova. However, we’ll also profile a few other favorites here.
2017 Wimbledon Odds – Women’s Draw:

2017 Wimbledon Odds – Petra Kvitova
Petra Kvitova of the Czech Republic enters the tournament ranked 12th in the world and as the 11th seed at Wimbledon. She won the title in 2011 and 2014, but made it to just the second round last year. Kvitova didn’t play in this year’s Australian Open and made it to only the second round at the French Open. However, she did win a title in Birmingham this year. The 27-year-old suffered an injured left hand last year after an intruder attacked her at Christmas time and that’s why she sat out the Australian Open. She bounced back on the grass at Birmingham when she won the 20th title of her career, but then pulled out of Eastbourne with an abdominal problem. Her current bet365 odds of winning Wimbledon are 5/1.
2017 Wimbledon Odds – Angelique Kerber
Germany’s Angelique Kerber enters the tournament as the top-ranked woman in the world as well as the top seed. Her best result in the event came last year when she finished as runner-up to Serena Williams. She reached the fourth round of this year’s Australian Open, but was ousted in the first round of the French Open. In addition, she hasn’t won an event so far this year. The 29-year-old Kerber was the first top-ranked woman to lose in the first round of a major in the past 16 years when she crashed out of this year’s French Open. She’s now playing in the warm-up to Wimbledon at Eastbourne and could lose her top ranking if she struggles. She’s managed to reach just one final in 2017 and that was at Monterrey where she lost to Anastasia Pavlyuchenkova. Kerber’s odds of winning Wimbledon are currently 14/1.
2017 Wimbledon Odds – Simona Halep
Simona Halep of Romania is ranked number two in the world right now and also enters Wimbledon as the second seed. Her best result at the event was reaching the final four in 2014 and she reached the final eight last summer. Halep was knocked out in the first round of this year’s Australian Open, but rebounded to finish as runner-up to Jelena Ostapenko at the French Open. She also won a title at Madrid this year. The 25-year-old Halep basically blew this year’s French Open and is hoping to bounce back on the grass in England. Halep’s odds of winning the event are currently 20/1 at bet365.
2017 Wimbledon Odds – Karolina Pliskova
Karolina Pliskova of the Czech Republic is currently the third-ranked female tennis player in the world as well as the third seed at Wimbledon. Her previous best at the event was reaching the second round back in 2013 and again last year. The 25-year-old Pliskova reached the quarterfinals of this year’s Australian Open and then made it as far as the semifinals at the French Open before losing to Simona Halep. Her two title wins so far in 2017 have come at Doha and Brisbane. In addition, she reached the semifinals at Miami and Indian Wells before losing to Caroline Wozniacki and Svetlana Kuznetsova respectively. Pliskova is currently playing at Eastbourne to stay in form prior to Wimbledon. Her odds of winning Wimbledon are currently 9/2.
